Properties: Greenish-yellow to orange-yellow fluffy powder, dec 202°. Slightly bitter taste. uv max (0.0005% in water): 386 nm (e 0.540); min: 295 nm. Very sparingly soluble in water. (To make a water soln, a 15% stock soln in propylene glycol should first be prepd.) One gram dissolves in 150 g of 95% alcohol; in 250 g ether. Almost insol in chloroform. Sol in dilute mineral acids.
Absorption maximum: uv max (0.0005% in water): 386 nm (e 0.540)
Therap-Cat-Vet: Antihistomonad in turkeys. For trichomoniasis in pigeons.
