Literature References: Dried bark (also seed, though not official) from aerial portions of Daphne mezereum L., D. gnidium L., and D. laureola L., Thymelaeaceae. Habit. New England, Canada, mountainous Europe, Siberia. Constit. Bark: Mezerein and acrid resin, daphnin, umbelliferone, fixed oil. Seed: Fixed oil, acrid resin.
