Properties: Hygroscopic crystals, slight fishy odor, slightly bitter, saline taste. Aq solns are stable, almost neutral; can be sterilized by autoclaving. The compd is almost completely ionized in aq solns. It contains 54.10% of pentamethonium ion.
Therap-Cat: Antihypertensive.
