Properties: Crystals from alc, mp 132°. Odor resembling camphor. bp 207-208°. When prepd from optically active sources it has the same sign as the hydrocarbon from which it is prepd: Thurber, Thielke, J. Am. Chem. Soc. 53, 1032 (1931). Practically insol in water; sol in alc, ether.
