Properties: White crystalline powder. Loses its water at 150°; on ignition is converted into SrCO3. Sol in 2.5 parts water; slightly sol in alcohol. The aq soln is practically neutral to litmus. LD i.v. in rats: 1.16 mmol/kg (Cole).
