Literature References: Dried ripe seeds of Strophanthus kombé Oliv., or of S. hispidus DC., Apocynaceae, deprived of the awns. Habit. East and Central Africa. Constit. 2-5% Strophanthin, kombic acid, choline, trigonelline, ~30% oil. Poisonous!
Use: As arrow poison by African natives.
Therap-Cat: Cardiotonic.
Therap-Cat-Vet: Has been used as a cardiotonic.
