Literature References: Volatile oil expressed from fresh peel of Citrus aurantium L., Rutaceae. Constit. About 90% d-limonene; citral, decyl aldehyde, methyl anthranilate, linalool, terpineol.
Properties: Pale yellow liquid; bitter taste. d2525 0.842-0.848. aD25 +88 to +98°. Very slightly sol in water; miscible with abs alcohol; sol in 4 vols alcohol, in 1 vol glacial acetic acid. Keep well closed, cool, and protected from light.
Optical Rotation: aD25 +88 to +98°
Density: d2525 0.842-0.848
Use: As flavoring; in perfumery.
