Properties: Yellow needles from chloroform, mp 211°. bp715 273°. Freely sol in benzene, chloroform, carbon disulfide, hot glacial acetic acid. Slightly sol in alc. Practically insol in water, alkaline solns. Sol in concd sulfuric acid, giving a yellow soln with strong green fluoresence in visible light.
