Properties: White to reddish crystals or cryst powder. mp 129-131°. Slightly sol in water; sol in alcohol, ether, dil acids. Keep well closed and protected from light.

CAUTION: Potential symptoms of overexposure to o-tolidine are irritation of eyes and nose. Use: Manuf dyes; also as very sensitive reagent for gold (1:10 million detectable), and for free chlorine in water.
